The fact that Obama and McCain are so close in the polls (yes, yes, I know, the polls don't mean shit) just baffles me, and makes me worried for November. There, I said it. That being said, I can't imagine John can make it through the Republican convention without making himself look like an ass. But will his followers notice? There's the rub....

while listening to the speech last night I kept imagining Mc Cain watching....I could see him just packing up his bags and going home. After that speech why bother. what a joke.
and today, out and about, I heard more strangers talking about this speech...two hillary supporters said they were totally into Obama now...said that Hillary gave them "permission" to be supporters...funny but appropriate way to put it.
The republicans watching last night surely had a hard time dismissing him. At the very least they know he's not as bad as he's been portrayed by the right. He just can't be dismissed.

After I watched Obama last night, for the first time ever, I felt included in this country. I thought, wow, I want to be part of this.
I loved when he said, the government is not going to turn off your t.v, make your part... Brilliant.
