If someone would have told 6 months ago that John McCain would be the favorite to win the Republican nomination going into Super Tuesday I would have told them they were out of their frickin' mind. So much for my political insight. This summer his political obituary was written across the board.
People really thought it was Rudy's year. However as the words of his arch nemesis Ed Koch {a schmuck in his own right, I mean this "Democrat" actually endorsed Bush in '04...}:
He {Koch} crowed, before the final votes were even tallied, that he was certain the verdict by Florida's voters "will drive a stake through his heart. The beast is dead."Koch may be a schmuck, but that is a damn funny line.
