Today is Mexican Independence Day- so for all of you who thought Cinco de Mayo was the big Mexican National holiday- you were wrong.
Last night the Mexican Consulate here in San Diego threw a big party downtown. It was fun. Aida loved the regional dancing and mariachis. The big part of the night is when the Mexican Consul says, "Viva Mexico" and the whole crowd yells "Viva!". Then he says "Viva ________" a bunch of other things like Mexican Revolutionary leaders and places in Mexico and the whole crowd chants back "Viva!"
