Seven.

Arianna Huffington has some great advice for Obama. My favorite:

5) Go to YouTube and watch the concession speeches of Kerry, Gore, and Hillary Clinton, each of whom decided to run to the middle in an attempt to attract undecided swing voters.

have you heard any of the stories about Bill Bishop and his book, "The Big Sort"? I heard him on "These Days" awhile back -- http://www.kpbs.org/radio/these_days;id=11607

and here's something from the NY Times:

The gist is, we're becoming geographically polarized. We want to live in homogenous, like-minded communities, so we end up voting like our neighbors. The middle is disappearing and the extremes are becoming more radical.

Interesting stuff.
