It would be nice if he kept to his word.
Also, I think it's more important to delve into these matters (if you're going to do it at all) for a sitting president than for a long-shot for the Republican nomination. You could make an argument that Hilary's travails during Bill's presidency made her a stronger person and contributed to her character in much the same way 9/11 contributed to Rudy's character (if it did). Still, as Bill Cosby famously quipped when being told cocaine enhances your personality, "What if you're an asshole?"
