My Mom, The Photographer

My mom will have an exhibition of her photographs, As Seen Along Decorah Trails, in the Mezzanine Gallery of the Decorah Public Library during December and January. {Did you know that a public library in small town Iowa could have a "mezzanine"? Pretty fancy huh?} The above mushroom photo is one of my favorites, although there are many great ones. Check them all out here. They not only show what a great photographer my mom is, but also how beautiful my hometown is.

Those are nice. My favorite is DSC01662. I'm adding your mom as a flickr contact so I can keep an eye on her work. Hope she doesn't mind....

This is so much fun! Thanks to everyone for the great comments. Mark, I'm happy to be a flickr contact. I've considered you a photographic kindred spirit since August when we captured the same plate of food at the Angry Trout in Grand Marais.

To translate Daleth's comment, I went to Pepe's page and used the Babel Fish service. "Somebody must be very proud of its mother-in-law."

Caroline - you are welcome any time, with or without Lauren! Our surroundings are a bit like parts of England, except this morning when the temperature was 13 and the ground white.

One more thing: interesting that Mark picked the photo he did as his favorite. I almost left it out because the white of the petals contains no texture. Just flat white.

Yes ELLEN !

I am very proud of you. You are the best mother in law in the world.

Thanks a lot for being like you are, a fantastic person.

Besos,

Eduardo

I sure wish my Decorah mother-in-law would join the digital revolution in photography. Perhaps your shots, Ellen, will bring Georgie into the light (I should cast a vote for her in the "Best Mother-In-Law In The World" voting).
