If I still lived in my home state of Iowa, where I would actually have a say in who becomes our nominee, I am pretty sure I would caucus for Edwards.
Hilary is too corporate and too much of a hawk. And I think with Obama there is just not enough "there" there.

Well, I DO live in Iowa and if the caucus were held today, I would stand up for Edwards. But I have to say that it is killing me on one level to go for a white male when there is the first serious woman candidate AND the first serious minority candidate in the running. It would be a lot more comfortable to stick a "Hillary" or "HOPE" (O'Bama) sign in my front yard and feel more politically correct. But my daughter and my husband won't let me forget about the issues.
I just watched an interesting feature on the PBS News Hour about the TV ads in Iowa. I have not seen a single one of them. It is now expected that retailers will have their Christmas ads bumped in favor of political ads which bring more revenue. I don't know what all those local stations do with the big bucks they make - they certainly don't improve the quality of their news coverage!
One thing we can be sure of: they will all forget about Iowa on January 4.
I agree with your mom...but I am sadly afraid Edwards wont go anywhere and think that Obama as the face of America would, in and of itself, immediatly help us...even if there's not enough there there.
