A year ago today I wrote:
I saw a baby born this morning. It really was a mind blowing experience. It was my first time being at a birth- well other than the births where I was either giving birth or being born. I feel so lucky that Annie invited me to be a part of such an amazing event. Right after Aida was born Eduardo just kept shaking his head and saying what an unbelievable thing it was to witness. Today I understand why. It is amazing on so many levels, but just physically- even though you see it with your own eyes, it doesn't seem possible.
This morning as I was taking the kids to school we pulled up right next to a teary eyed Annie and her kids waiting at a red light. My mom was along and we rolled down the windows and all got to sing a "Happy Bithday" verse to Silas. To read more about the cutie patootie read Annie's birthday post here.
