When I was a Junior in High School my friend Rachel introduced me to Suzanne Vega on a drama club bus trip to Des Moines. I instantly loved her. {I can't remember the name of the album, but it was the one before Solitude Standing.} The Queen and the Soldier was one of my favorite songs. Twenty years later the song resonates with me more than ever. War is ugly.
George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Scooter Libby should be sentenced in the Hague for war crimes. A place where W won't have any Constitutional powers to abuse.
