Last Monday Aida's Brownie troop became Jr. Girl Scouts. All Girl Scouts "cross a bridge" when they move up a level. When I "bridged" I remember I crossed a little wooden bridge in our school cafeteria in Ann Arbor. For some reason the thing which I remember the most clearly is the aluminum foil under the bridge, it was supposed to be water. Luckily for Aida, she got to cross a real bridge. We went to one of the cool bridges in Hillcrest which go across a canyon.
Most of the girls in Aida's troop were in the same Kindergarten class, but since then have been scattered among the 3 classes in her grade. Brownies has been a great way for them to continue seeing each other. The girl planned the whole ceremony themselves. Above you can see Aida skipping across the bridge w/ 2 buddies. The second photo shows the whole troop.
