Google Blog Search says 1,235 blog posts have written about Steve Gilliard in the last week.

The news is still so sad for me. I realized that I have read him very close to every single day for the last three years. He was extremely prolific. He wrote A LOT every day. Unlike other political bloggers he often mentioned the mundane parts of his life: where he ate the night before, meeting his girlfriend Jen for coffee, something silly his niece and nephew had done recently. He gave relationship advice, posted favorite recipes, just generally shared his unique view of the world as an African American, military history buff, blogger, dating a half Jewish half Lutheran lawyer, living in the middle of NY City.
