Cute Koji

This is from my friend Debbie's blog. She is an American woman who has lived in Japan for 15 some years. Here she explains why she spent some "big Yen" getting a professional photo of her 5 year old son, Koji, taken:

In November, every year, we have a holiday (though not a "national holiday") where we celebrate younger children. All over Japan, 3- and 7-year-old little girls and 5-year-old little boys go to shrines with their families and pray for good health and all-around good luck for them as they grow up. Some wear traditional Japanese kimono or party dresses and suits. Most families will document this event by having a special picture taken....

The result is so darn cute. Although to get the full "cuteness" effect, click on the image to see it bigger.
