Just heard an ad for the movie Children of Men on KLSD (our local Air America station) and it sounds amazing. Checked Rotten Tomatoes and it got an unbelievable 94%. (I will always be grateful to Caroline for introducing me to Rotten Tomatoes- the best movie site out there..)
The director and co-writer of "Children" is the Mexican Alfonso Cuarón. He directed Tu Mama Tambien and my favorite Harry Potter movie, The Prisoner of Azkaban.
While looking at the site IMDB about Cuarón I saw he has a movie coming out next year called Mexico '68, about the Mexican student revolt of 1968. Eduardo's aunt Betty was a student at UNAM that time and as very involved in the student movement. If we are lucky maybe it will come to the San Diego Latino Film Festival first.
