What Digby Said®

Atrios way of dressing to Mahmoud has written a few times that he might just start a blog called, "What Digby Said" and just repeat what Digby has to say since he is so often brilliant. I think his best pieces are criticism of the media. Jeff Greenfield today decided to say a little "joke" and compare Obama'sAhmadinejad's, President of Iran. Very funny. (this in the same week several righties have commented on his middle name "Hussein". I think they are scared shitless because of all of the "rock star" talk surrounding Obama) Digby writes:

But you'll have to excuse us hotheads for reacting strongly when we see these things because the last time the media decided to have "fun" and tell "jokes," this way, enough people believed them that it ended up changing the world in the most dramatic and violent way possible. We are in this mess today at least partly because these people failed to do their duty and approached their jobs as if it were a seventh grade slumber party instead of the serious business of the most powerful nation on earth.

Read the whole thing. Really.
