Shut Up & Go See This Movie

Yes, it is almost 1:00AM and I am blogging. That is what happens when you have a pretty big latte from Pete's at 9:50 PM. After picking up our kids at a birthday party (where they were the only girls playing laser tag with a bunch of boys....) my friend Kelly and I had the rather last minute decision to desert our husbands and children and go see the Dixie Chicks Movie, Shut Up and Sing, showing at the late hour of 9:55. A very wise decision because the movie rocks. It is amazing to remember what a fascist nationalist furry this country was whipped into just 3 short years ago. I am glad that Bush's approval rating is now at least 50 points lower than it was back then. I just wish that so many lives were not lost and ruined to make that happen. All of three of the women in the band come out looking great, but the lead singer Natalie is my hero. Even in the middle of all of the craziness she never lost sight of the fact that this war is wrong. She never took back her words. And her two band mates never asked her to. They stood by her side even though the whole world was telling them to step away.
