Speaking of Traveling

Woke up to this lovely photo in my in-box. Signe picking berries for the jam she will later make with her three little Scandinavian offspring in toe. They are in the Norwegian mountains celebrating Signe's 36th birthday- this photo was actually taken on her b-day.
18 years ago when I was living with Signe's family in Lillehammer for a year we spent a week in the fall and another in the spring up at the cabin. It was great. In the spring we were surrounded by snow and I even made a bit of money because my host mom Ronnaug bet me that I wouldn't run out naked and roll in the snow. I won.
