Rule #1

Wolcott shows here and here why it is always the liberals' fault.
He quotes from Dinesh D'Souza's new book The Enemy at Home:

"Decent liberals and Democrats have every right to oppose the current administration, but they should do so without succumbing to the dangerous and irresponsible tactics of the left. Like Joseph Lieberman, Thomas Friedman, Peter Beinart, and others, the good liberal can make his case for how the war on terror can be fought better, with a view to improving the chances of defeating Islamic radicalism, protecting America's vital interests, and securing the safety of American citizens." (emphasis mine)
Wolcott goes on:
Of course, the trifling fact that all of the gentlemen named were fucking wrong about Iraq doesn't minimize their contribution to civilized discourse, and their utitily as neocon tools. As long as Beinart keeps signing those PNAC statements, he'll remain in D'Souza's good graces and receive the occasional doggy biscuit. (once again emphasis mine)
Wolcott also shows why sometimes you really do need a good swear word. These people are so outrageous that you just can't describe what they do with polite language.
