Another Reason not to go to Starbucks

You have to pay for wireless there! They use T-mobile and monthly plans start "as low" as $29.99- you have got to be kidding me. Why would I do that when plenty of independent coffee shops have wi-fi for free? Right now I am sitting in Cafe Calabria right in my own neighborhood of North Park. You can find Cafe Calabria and other sites with free wi-fi here.

UPDATE: I think this site is a little better- you have to scroll down to San Diego, but it has a lot of different cafes. I'm going to check out The Bean Bar which is pretty close to the kid's school soon. I have driven by it a lot- but never checked it out. Looks all retro and cool-photo above.
