"Hippies Are Cool"

Aida has "retro" day today at school. She could dress like the 50s,60s,or 70s. She decided to be a hippy. After I changed one of my anti-Iraq War buttons to to an anti-Vietnam War button she had a lot of questions about what hippies were. After I tried to give an answer that a eight year old would understand she said, "I like Hippies. Hippies are cool- they don't like war and stuff."
