What was Costco thinking!!!

Aida and Eduardo are at the father-daughter dance and it is our night to babysit- so it is me and the 6 kids. It is always a little chaotic in the beginng, butt they are all quiet now and watching "A Neverending Story". I made myself a cup of coffee in my new stove top espresso maker and sat at the computer to enjoy the coffee and a slice of the strawberry cheesecake we bought last night from Costco. We were going to bring it to our friends Vero and Andres's house where we were going to dinner, but right as we arrived they were rushing to their car. Minutes earlier their daughter Viviana, who is in second grade with Aida, had literally put her hand through a glass window. They were rushing to the ER. We stayed at their house with their younger daughter for a bit and had a very nice chat with Vero's mother. They are from Venezuela and we had an interesting conversation about how similar Chavez and Bush are. They are both totally crazy if you ask me. We left before they came back from the ER and this morning Eduardo talked to Vero and found out that poor Vivi ended up having 17 stiches!

However, back to the cheesecake. When I bit into it, to my horror I discovered that not only did they put strawberries on top of the cheesecake- but they MIXED some sweet strawberry sauce IN WITH THE CHEESE PART OF THE CAKE! Are they crazy? Now it tastes like a graham cracker crust filled with the strawberry cream cheese my kids like to put on their bagels, the kind I find way too sweet. The whole point about strawberry cheese cake is that the sweetness of the strawberry topping goes well with the not so sweet cheesecake. Even a strong cup off coffee can not fix this one.

I like to expresso machine. We're looking for one. We have a 1-cup one... it's a pain to fix it everytime for one cup... Do you have to make three cups at once?
