I was pleased to see this story on CNN.com about the upcoming Mexican election.
The American media is totally pathetic about covering Mexico. Even here in San Diego we hear very very little about what is going on just 20 minutes away. I am sure that most Americans have no idea that Mexico is having a Presidential election in less than 2 months. I can't even imagine how many could name the names of the 3 leading candidates. How could we, when we never see or hear about them in the news? This is totally different than Mexico before the American election. Everybody knew about Bush and Kerry- even people in Eduardo's family who do not follow the news very closely.
