Magic Mile

Every year the Union Tribune puts on a "Magic Mile" race in Balboa Park to raise money for literacy. Kids from all over San Diego participate. This year Aida's school Explorer had over 100 kids participate. Other than having to leave the house at 7:00 AM on a Saturday it was really fun.

Those of you who are not from San Diego may not realize what a right wing rag our newspaper is. However this year they broke the story that ended up leading to the resignation and then guily plee of Congressman Duke Cunningham. Last month they won a Pulitzer Prize for their coverage.
